Day in the Life

7:30 am: #GRWM
8:00 am: Quick breakfast in my room before my first class of the day.
9:00 am: First class at 9:00 a.m. with “Jody O” – aka Dr. Owens.
11:00 am: Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 11 is chapel. Sometimes we have worship and speakers, other times it’s communion or practicing a spiritual discipline.
12:00 pm: Every day my friends and I meet at the Gally to catch up with each other and see how everyone’s day is going.
1:00 pm: My afternoon class is Biblical Interpretation with Dr. Prinston from 1:00-2:30.
3:00 pm: Some quick lifting before tennis practice!
4:00 pm: During the season, I have tennis practice every day from 4:00 to 6:00. My favorite thing is working on my serves.
6:00 pm: The Graham Center has a Habañeros, and I like to go to Habs with friends after practice.
7:00 pm: Time for homework! This is the part of the day where I finally wind down and start on school work.
9:00 pm: Once I am done with homework I finally get to relax and spend some time with my friends.
11:00 pm: A little reading and some time to myself before bed – and another busy day tomorrow.

You can request a specific roommate, or you can complete our questionnaire and our Student Life staff will pair you with someone who will be a good match. We take this seriously and pray through the process!

and five women’s sports in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Appalachian Athletics Conference (AAC).
But you don’t have to be on an official team to play ball! Many of our students participate in intramurals – everything from softball to corn hole and disc golf.
You can also take classes in Barre, Pound Fit, water aerobics, and more, or join a group to hike in the Smokies.
And do it all in a supportive community with faculty who care about you.
Maybe you want to be a preacher. Maybe you’re not totally sure what it even means to be a Christian.
Johnson is a place to go deeper and grow stronger.
Try something new, or step into a leadership role! Whether you like to sing, cheer, plan, promote, or perform, there are activities for you.

Our campus is just minutes from downtown Knoxville, and less than an hour from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains. Hurry up and finish your homework – there’s so much to do!
