The theme “what’s next?” continues to permeate Johnson University Florida Athletics. After a stellar recruiting summer, the Suns started out the fall semester with the most men’s soccer players (30) we have ever had on our roster. The excitement continued throughout the season with the Suns drawing a home 3-3 tie with Florida National University, the NAIA’s #14 ranked team nationally. (Until that game, Florida National was also undefeated!). The Lady Suns volleyball team qualified for the NCCAA DII National Tournament and recorded the first National Tournament volleyball win in school history. JUFL also served as the host institution of February’s NCCAA DII South Regional tournament for men’s and women’s basketball and was excited to welcome 11 other teams to campus for the competition.
In the 2023/2024 academic year, JUFL will be celebrating the inaugural season of women’s softball led by head coach Jimmy Johnson and launching baseball under the direction of head coach Bennie Hichez. It is an exciting time to be part of the JUFL family!
