Program Overview

The associate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies provides broad training for a wide range of academic and professional careers by developing a critical understanding of the human experience across time, place, and cultures. Courses in the program introduce skills for research, analysis, and communication that prepare students for further studies toward a four-year bachelor’s degree and that help students engage the world in thoughtful, constructive, and creative ways.

Instead of taking a predetermined curriculum of required courses, students in the Interdisciplinary Studies associate degree choose 11-14 credit hours in electives based on their interests and future goals.
