Johnson University’s Food Service Team Receives Highest Honors

May 18, 2021

Jordan Durant and Kathy Phillips

This year’s Pioneer College Catering annual report featured our own Jordan Durant, who received the President’s Award for outstanding service this past year – the highest honor a Pioneer director can earn. It is awarded to just one food service director each year who has demonstrated exceptional performance and who encourages the highest of standards in client relations and satisfaction, menu/program development, innovation, and quality.

In addition, Kathy Phillips won the Outstanding Assistant Award, given to assistants who demonstrate exceptional performance in the execution of their duties and in support of their director’s leadership.

In an article featuring Jordan, Dr. Smith says, “We are so pleased that the leadership of Pioneer College Caterers has formally recognized what our students, faculty, staff, and administration have experienced. You have not only provided exceptional meals but have done so with a servant’s heart and a genuine love for our entire campus community. You have continued to make the daily routine of the Gally Commons a central feature of our campus life–you have participated in meaningful ways in the broader life of our community.”

Congratulations, Jordan and Kathy. We are so grateful to have both of you at Johnson!
