Learn from the ministers you know!
It’s more than an internship, it is a structured opportunity for students to integrate classroom learning with real ministry practice. This one-on-one mentoring and ministry experience is what sets you apart from traditional college experiences, as it stretches, challenges and develops your students into transformational leaders.

For Church Partners
Johnson University Beyond is a partnership program available to churches to be able to deliver ministry degree programs right from your church. Students at each site would participate in internship, cohort-based experience while taking classes towards an associate or bachelor’s degree.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry Leadership
Benefits for Beyond Churches
- Ability to intentionally train and develop ministers from within their circle of influence.
- $1,500 per student per semester to help operate the program.
(This can be spent to help fund staff positions, offer scholarship, and expenses of the program.) - Support from JU in the form of marketing, financial aid of students, and admission support
What would your church need to provide for Beyond students?
- Ministry mentorship for each Beyond program student
- Space for students to gather and do classwork together
- Intentional spiritual formation practices each week in the the form of chapel service and/or small group
- Students to serve 8 hours a week at the church for their practicum credits. (3 of those hours should be mentoring, chapel, and small group)
