Tier 1 Churches ($10,000 or more per year)

  • Students from a Tier 1 Partner church share 50% of that congregation’s annual support in the form of a scholarship. EXAMPLE: If the church contributes $10,000 per year and has 5 students attending, each student receives $1,000 per year ($500 per semester). If the same church has 2 students attending, each student receives $2,500 per year.
  • Students must be taking traditional, full-time, on-campus undergraduate classes.
  • J.U. matches each student’s portion of that scholarship with various institutional aid.
  • In years where the church has no students attending, funds will continue building the Vanguard Church Student Fund (VCSF) endowment to supply any gaps in the Matching Scholarship benefit. (Second Blessing)
  • 3 FREE registrations to the “PURSUE Conference” (regularly $50 each).
  • 6 FREE registrations to:
    • Church Leadership Conference at JUTN or JUFL ($25 each)
    • Festival of Christmas Joy (TN) or Night of Noel (FL) banquet ($25 each)
  • 2 FREE registrations to Renew in the Smokies ($295 each) OR 1 HALF-PRICE registration to Alumni & Friends Cruise (A.R.V. $350)
  • 10% off additional registrations to Renew in the Smokies for VCP members (not applicable for Alumni & Friends Cruise)
  • FREE use of campus facilities for youth retreats, conferences, or other events (based on availability, housing not included)
  • 50% off RV site rates (as available, not to be used in conjunction with facility rentals or campus events that include housing)
  • 20% off tuition for one online course per year, per paid church staff member
  • Listing as a Tier 1 Vanguard Church on Johnson University’s website
  • Recognition as a Vanguard Church on the JUTN Church Relations Facebook page
