My favorite part about teaching at Johnson is: The students. I don’t know if that sounds cliche or not, but it is true!

When I’m not teaching, I love to: Spend time with my family, play music with my friends, and run for long periods of time on the many beautiful trails in East Tennessee.

In my classes, students can expect: Me to be on their side. I do this for them, not me!

My best advice to a new student in my program is: Keep an open mind. All you know isn’t all there is to know. That is advice I have to remind myself of, too!

Because of my influence, I most want my students to become: More in love with God, more like Christ, and more open to the Spirit.

The myth-busting truth about my discipline I most want people to understand is: Biblical worship is a matter of discipline, obedience, and submission WAY before it is a matter of feelings.

A quote that influences how I live is: “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” – Annie Dillard
