Required Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Business Administration specializing in Management from a regionally accredited university.
Job Summary:
The School of Business & Leadership (SoBL) at Johnson University seeks a dynamic, Christian leader to teach various Business Administration courses in multiple modalities and formats. Faculty generally teach four courses per term depending upon class enrollments and credit hours associated with the course. Additional duties include advising and mentoring students to succeed academically and professionally, participating in activities beyond the classroom, such as recruiting career fairs, internships, or extracurricular events on campus, and other responsibilities defined by the University. Preference will be given to faculty candidates with a history of membership with Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.
The start date is July 1, 2025.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of specialization such as management, leadership, strategy, etc. Develop course syllabi and learning materials.
- Adhere to high standards of instructional design and delivery utilizing a variety of pedagogical approaches.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to support student success.
- Participate in curriculum development, assessment activities, and accreditation processes.
- Engage in scholarly research and creative activities. Disseminate knowledge through publications, conferences, and other professional engagements.
- Contribute to service activities that support the department, college, and profession.
- Participate in professional development to stay current in the field.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Business Administration specializing in Management from a regionally accredited university.
- Two to five years of teaching experience in a higher education setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate interpersonally (in classroom and in one-on-one settings) and to demonstrate active listening skills.
- Proficient with the use of standard office and internet applications on personal computers.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand in front of a classroom. Must be able to articulate clearly and loudly for each class.
