Application Checklist

Complete your application online.

  • Send us transcripts from all schools/colleges attended.
  • Send us your ACT, SAT or CLT scores. See below for the Johnson University codes! You can also choose to submit a writing sample and two academic references in place of test scores.
  • If your test scores are included on your high school transcript, you do not need to send them again. This step is not required of applicants over age 24 who have not already taken one of the tests.
  • Some majors have minimum test score requirements. For more information, contact your admissions counselor.
  • Watch for your log-in information to my.JohnsonU.edu! This online account will allow you to monitor your application requirements and admissions status throughout the process.

Information for Veterans

Johnson certifies military personnel through the GI Bill in many areas and also certifies tuition assistance programs through the Department of Defense.

On April 27, 2012, President Obama signed Executive Order 13607 which established Principles of Excellence for educational institutions serving service members, veterans, spouses, and their dependents. Johnson University is in compliance with the Principles of Excellence and will be listed as a campus committed to these Principles of Excellence and our nation’s veterans, service members, and dependents.

These programs are administered and certified through the Financial Aid Office. Johnson is honored to offer quality Christian education to our veterans, active military, and their dependents.

If you believe you are eligible for educational benefits through your GI Bill or Tuition Assistance, please coordinate with your military education adviser or ESOs on receiving approval from installation commanders before applying to the institution.

Service Members Point of Contact

The University’s VA Certifying Official serves as the point of contact for service members relating to academic and financial advising. The VA Certifying Official works in the Financial Aid Office. The certifying official is familiar with many of the university services that provide academic counseling, financial aid counseling, job search support, and other student support services. Service members may contact the VA Certifying Official with any of their questions regarding their education or financial assistance at Johnson University.

Dual Enrollment

High school junior and senior students who are seeking to earn both high school and college credits through Johnson University must submit the following:

  • A completed Dual Enrollment application.
  • A high school or home school transcript (unofficial or current transcripts can be used for acceptance purposes) sent to the .
  • A letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, principal, or guidance counselor or a parent if the student is home-schooled.

Readmitted Students

Students returning to Johnson University have a simplified application process. Students who have attended Johnson within the past year should submit the re-enroll application  here.

Students who have been out of classes for more than one year should submit these items:

  • Application and $15 application fee
  • Transcripts for all colleges attended since you were last enrolled at Johnson.

International Students

Please submit the requirements listed for all undergraduate applications. All international transcripts must be submitted with an international academic credential evaluation through a provider such as World Education Services. International students must also submit test scores with the minimum score on one of the following assessments. There are some exemptions to this requirement. If an applicant wishes to use an English proficiency measure not included in the list below, please contact the Admissions Office. Students who do not meet the required English language proficiency standard for full admission to Johnson University but who are otherwise academically eligible may be considered for conditional admission.
