Johnson University offers a variety of scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students. Click the Quick Links to find out more!
Johnson Promise is for first-time, full-time freshmen who are eligible for the Tennessee Education Lottery (HOPE) Scholarship and the maximum Pell Grant. Unlike other scholarships available to Tennessee residents, Johnson Promise provides last-dollar tuition assistance and program access.
“Last-dollar” programs consider any additional public funding or grant the student is eligible for, like a federal Pell Grant. The amount of last-dollar funding that will be provided to cover tuition and program fees will vary from student to student and will depend on other public funding for which the student is eligible. Last-dollar programs only cover the last-dollar amount of costs left over after other financial aid is applied. The Johnson Promise will only cover the last-dollar amount of tuition and program service fees. It does not pay for books or other post-secondary expenses, including but not limited to course fees, meal plan costs, late registration fees, etc.
