Accessibility Information on Additional Required Technologies

To ensure students are equipped for success at Johnson University Online, here are some hardware and software guidelines.

Hardware

Desktop, laptop, tablet* device with:

• 16 GB of free memory
• 512 GB of free disk space
• Internet connection (high-speed connection strongly recommended)
• Keyboard, mouse, or trackpad
• Speaker and microphone (USB headsets are recommended for best sound quality)

Note: *Adobe Flash is unsupported on iOS devices.

Software

PDF Reader (Adobe Reader, Preview, Kindle Cloud Reader, or similar)
Current Antivirus and Malware software recommended
Supported browsers include:

• Firefox 135+
• Chrome 133+
• Edge 133+
• Safari 18.1+

Required plugins include:

• Java 7 update 25+ (minimum)
• Flash 11+ (minimum)
• Silverlight 5 (minimum)

Some courses and programs may require additional programs or plugins. * Tablets may not be powerful enough to complete some course assignments. Mobile and cell phones are insufficient to complete most course work.
