Johnson University’s impact on my 40 years of ministry is difficult to measure, even though my wife and I are not alumni. I learned what it means to be a pastor from serving with an alumnus and honed leadership skills as I worked with other alumni. We believe Johnson’s kingdom reach is multiplied many times over in the lives and work of others like us. That is why we joyfully give to this University. Johnson is a kingdom-extending cause we believe in.

Theology of Advancement
The Advancement department at Johnson University grounds its work on the firm foundation of biblical truth rather than institutional necessity. As such, the purpose, goals, strategies, tactics, methodologies, and practices all must conform to this theological understanding.
We base our work on three core truths:
As Creator, God owns everything.
As Provider, God is generous.
As Redeemer, God includes us as partners in his redemptive mission.

The Advancement Department exists to engage partners in extending God’s kingdom through Johnson University’s historic vision and mission. We seek to help people experience the joy of generously investing their lives and resources in extending the kingdom of God.
Building for the Future
The work of Johnson University is to equip students to extend the kingdom of God among all nations. From an academic, curricular perspective, we do this by employing a three-fold approach centering on God’s Word, God’s world, and God’s work.
The new science building will help propel Johnson University into the next generation, enabling us to educate students more effectively for Christian ministries and other strategic vocations. It will allow us to accept more students into the life sciences major, responding to the growing need for healing professionals, and give our students more common spaces to connect and grow.
Best of all, we’re doing it together—churches, alumni, and friends of both campuses will partner to make these plans a reality. Our funding, as well as our facilities, models the uncommon community that has marked Johnson University for more than 125 years.
