When I’m not teaching, I love to: Read, walk, frighten paper targets at a pistol range.

In my classes, students can expect: Reading, writing, listening, talking, all while thinking.

My best advice to a new student in my program is: Show up, do the work honestly and on time, and you’ll pass for sure.

Because of my influence, I most want my students to become: People who know God through the Bible and who love people.

The myth-busting truth about my discipline I most want people to understand is: You don’t have to know Greek or Hebrew to go to heaven, but if you don’t you won’t be able to talk to anyone.

A quote that influences how I live is: “Nonsense! They couldn’t hit an elephant at this dist___” – Gen. John Sedgwick at the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse, 1864
