The Empowered To Connect Conference presented by Show Hope, in collaboration with The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU and Empowered to Connect, is a two-day conference hosted by Johnson University that is designed to help parents, caregivers, educators, ministry leaders, and professionals better understand how to create safe healing places for children and youth. The conference is specifically helpful for those who are caring for children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences, maltreatment, and loss.
Foster and adoptive parents, ministers, volunteers, educators, and other professionals will find this training applicable, and hours may count toward annual training requirements. This event qualifies for a total of 12 professional development credits; certificates will be provided. Johnson University is an Approved Continuing Education Provider for the National Board of Certified Counselors. Certificates for continuing education certified by NBCC are available for an additional fee.
