What Military Status are you?


Active Duty

Means Full-Time Service, other than active duty for training, as a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force, including active duty in the reserve components.

Inactive Duty/Veterans


Inactive duty is non-Full-Time military service, typically for reservists and National Guard members.

The term “Veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, air or space service and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable as defined in 38 U.S.C. § 101(2).

Retired


This refers to a member or former member of the uniformed services who is entitled to receive retirement benefits or pay by statute due to their service.

Spouse/Dependent


A spouse, child, or other family member recognized by a service member for the purpose of receiving benefits.
