Anhui Normal University (ANU), founded in 1928, is located in the city of Wuhu, Anhui Province. It is the oldest higher education institution in the province, consisting of 18 colleges. In addition, there is an affiliated kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school.
Anhui Normal University offers 154 bachelor's, 87 master's and 50 doctoral programs. There are 37,400 students on campus. The college of International Education has been accredited to receive international students.
In January 2013, Johnson University established a cooperative program, Master of Arts in Educational Technology, with ANU. The project was approved by the China Ministry of Education. Upon successful completion of two years' study at ANU and one year at Johnson University, students enrolled in the program will be granted the Master of Arts in Educational Technology degree from both universities. By May 2017, two cohorts with seven Chinese students have graduated from this program. Another seven Chinese students will be enrolled in the summer of 2017.
