What is your title/position at Johnson University?

Director of the Management of Nonprofit Organizations program

How long have you worked at Johnson University?

Five years.

Garry Rollins

What is your favorite food?

It's hard to beat a steak and grilled shrimp combo with baked potato and fresh rolls…a diabetic’s nightmare.

If you could spend 15 minutes with anyone living, who would you meet and why?

Besides Jesus?  He is alive you know!

My former minister, Bob Rathbun, who lives in Portland, Oregon.  He showed Patty and I how to delight in Jesus’ Lordship in our lives.  I have not seen him in decades.

What are your hobbies?

Fishing, golf, as well as reading historical fiction and good fantasy.

What would you do if you had a million dollars?

Endow a nonprofit scholarship first, then have extended visits to all of the missionaries (especially CY and Pat Kim in Northern Korea) and World Vision children we have supported over the years.

What is one interesting fact about yourself?

I have lived in 14 states and 2 foreign countries. (Some states multiple times).

What is the best gift you ever received?

Besides Jesus?  That would be my wife of 45 years, Patty.  She remains a daily gift I treasure.

What is your favorite quote/scripture?

What I want to be known for:  as one who “came from the Father, full of grace and truth” John 1:14.  This is a daily balancing act for me.

If you don't already know Dr. Rollins, be sure to say hello or swing by his office!
