Gain real-world experiences in internship settings.
Internships provide Johnson University Florida students with opportunities to apply skills and knowledge to real-life situations. This hands-on experience contributes to spiritual formation and a well-rounded education.
JUFL students are required to complete an internship/practicum or equivalent field experience as part of their education.
Most programs incorporate 3 credit hours of an internship/practicum. Some include the opportunity for an extended, 6-month experience. Internships usually take place in the summer following the junior year and/or during the senior year of college.
Internship locations can include:
- Traditional church settings
- Faith-based organizations
- Mission agencies
- Nonprofit organizations
Internships are designed to match with the student’s abilities and passions, meet core educational requirements, and provide valuable experience in a real-world setting.
