Faculty Activities in November 2014

The faculty of Johnson University participate in many activities beyond their normal teaching responsibilities, including writing, speaking, presenting at academic meetings, mission trips, and community involvement. Occasionally, we will publish updates on these activities. The list below describes some faculty activities in November 2014.

Wendy Guthrie (Professor of Education, FL) attended the Florida Association of Teacher Educators (FATE) annual state conference in Boca Raton, Florida, on October 3-4. She conducted a teacher workshop entitled “Growing Effective Teachers” for Washington Shores Church of Christ in Orlando, Florida, on October 18. She also accompanied four students to the state Math Conference in Palm Harbor, Florida, on October 24.

Ruth Reyes (Professor of Music, FL) was guest speaker at a women’s retreat at Common Ground Christian Church in Tampa, Florida, on October 18 and at a women’s event at Real Life Christian Church in Clermont, Florida, on November 3. She also provided assistance in the Real Life worship ministry by teaching worship through instructional videos created by the Real Life production team.
