Johnson University is pleased to announce that Craig Wilsman is Johnson University Florida’s new athletic director and Doug Johnson is JU Florida’s new full-time director of admissions. Prior to this transition, Mr. Johnson fulfilled both roles. The University’s recent growth requires a full-time focus in each position.
Doug Johnson joined the Johnson University staff in 2011, serving as the Athletic Director, Director of Undergraduate Admissions, and head women’s soccer coach. He has also been on staff at several churches as a children’s minister, family minister, and senior minister. He holds a B.S. in Ministry from Lincoln Christian University and an MBA from Johnson University.
Craig Wilsman joined the Johnson University staff in 2015 and has served in a variety of roles including head men’s basketball coach, Sport & Fitness Leadership lecturer, and assistant athletic director. Before joining the Johnson staff, Mr. Wilsman worked as a coach, athletic director, and sports management professor at Clearwater Christian College; Warner University; The King’s University-College in Alberta, Canada; Warner Southern College; Prairie Bible College; and Simpson College. He holds a B.A. in Physical Education from Trinity College and a Master of Science in Recreation & Parks Administration from Western Illinois University.
