2017 June Faculty News JUFL

The faculty of Johnson University Florida participate in many activities beyond their normal teaching responsibilities, including writing, speaking, presenting at academic meetings, mission trips, and community involvement. The list below describes faculty activities in June 2017.

Marla Black (Reference and Access Services Library Associate) attended the Association of Christian Librarians Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, from June 12 to 15.

Ruth Reyes (Professor of Music and Assistant Dean of the School of Communication & Creative Arts) led the corporate worship of the Senior Saints in the Smokies on the Tennessee campus all three weeks (May 22-June 7) along with a different praise band each week, which was comprised of administrators, faculty, and staff, as well as members of her family. She also performed a 25-minute piano concert each week and taught a workshop. She serves on the Board of Directors and Program Platform Committee of the North American Christian Convention. She attended the NACC in Kansas City from June 27 to 29.

Kendi Howells Douglas (Professor of Intercultural Studies) attended the Association of Professors of Mission Annual Meeting at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, from June 15 to 16 and the American Society of Missiology Conference at Wheaton College from June 16 to 18.
