2018 June-July Faculty News

The faculty members of Johnson University Florida participate in many activities beyond their normal teaching responsibilities, including writing, speaking, presenting at academic meetings, mission trips, and community involvement. The list below describes faculty activities in June and July 2018.

Marla Black (Associate Librarian) attended the Annual Conference of the Association for Christian Libraries from June 11 to 14 at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY.

Catherlyn Brim (Dean of the School of Business & Public Leadership) served as a mentor for the “Leadership Huddles” at the North American Christian Conference in Indianapolis.

Nealy Brown (Assistant Dean of the School of Social & Behavioral Sciences) conducted five marriage workshops at the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program from June 30 to July 1.

Kendi Howells Douglas (Professor of Intercultural Studies) attended the annual conference of the Association of the Professors of Mission and the American Society of Missiology in Notre Dame, IN. In June, she also led a short-term mission trip with the Kissimmee Christian Church to work with G.O. Ministries in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She published an article titled “The Legacy of Roger Greenway” in the July 2018 issue of the International Journal of Urban Transformation.
