Admissions Requirements
New students and students transferring from other institutions who are seeking an undergraduate degree must submit the following:
- A completed application form along with the $35 application fee
- A high school transcript, home school transcript, or GED
- For applicants who have not yet graduated, the transcript must show grades and class rank at the time of application.
- Applicants from high schools or home schools that are not state approved who score less than 18 on the ACT (or its SAT equivalent) must earn a GED and score 2,250 (2013 and before) or 600 (2014 and beyond) or above with no score lower than 410 on any of the five tests (2013 and before) or 150 on any of the four tests (2014 and beyond).
- GED scores before 2014 - Applicants without high school diplomas must score 2,250 or above with no score lower than 410 on any of the five tests.
- GED scores after 2014 - Applicants without high school diplomas must score 600 or above with no score lower than 150 on any of the four tests.
- ACT or SAT or CLT scores
- Not required of applicants older than 24 who have not already taken one of the tests. A test score may be required based on information in the application process.
- Applicants for the teacher education programs must have a minimum score of 19 on the ACT or a 1000 on the SAT (1350 if taken prior to March 2016).
- Commitment to the Johnson Lifestyle with Personal Statement of Faith. All who study at Johnson must commit to the Johnson lifestyle based on biblical standards regarding our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. The Statement of Faith describes the reason for applying to Johnson University, including Christian commitment, church involvement, life goals, and a purpose in harmony with that of Johnson.
- Transfer students must include any college transcripts.
- One letter of reference from a minister or church leader. The reference must be from a minister or church leader at the church the applicant currently attends. The applicant cannot be related to the reference, and it is preferred for the applicant to know the reference for a minimum of one year. A “church leader” may refer to any spiritual leader who can verify the applicant’s church involvement and Christian commitment. A second reference from an educator or employer may be required based on information in the application process.

High school junior and senior students who are seeking to earn both high school and college credits through Johnson University Florida must submit the following:
- A completed application form
- A high school transcript, home school transcript (unofficial or current transcripts can be used for acceptance purposes)
- One letter of reference from a minister or church leader. The reference must be from a minister or church leader at the church the applicant currently attends. The applicant cannot be related to the reference, and it is preferred for the applicant to know the reference for a minimum of one year. A “church leader” may refer to any spiritual leader who can verify the applicant’s church involvement and Christian commitment. A second reference from an educator or employer may be required based on information in the application process.
- Commitment to the Johnson Lifestyle with Personal Statement of Faith. Reenrolling Students: Students returning to Johnson University who were absent for no more than three consecutive terms (includes full Fall, Spring, and Summer terms). The reenrollment process is available to those who left the University in good standing. Reenrolling students must complete the reenrollment application form.

Reapplying Applicants: Students returning to Johnson University who were absent for more than three consecutive terms (includes full Fall, Spring, and Summer terms). Applicants must submit the following:

- Transcripts from all colleges attended since leaving Johnson.
- Commitment to Johnson Lifestyle with Personal Statement of Faith. All who study at Johnson must commit to the Johnson lifestyle based on biblical standards regarding our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. The Statement of Faith describes the reason for applying to Johnson University, including Christian commitment, church involvement, life goals, and a purpose in harmony with that of Johnson.
- One Reference from a minister or church leader. A “church leader” may refer to any spiritual leader who can verify the applicant’s church involvement and Christian commitment.

Applicants from countries outside the United States and its territories seeking an undergraduate degree must submit the following:
- A completed application form along with the $35 application fee
- Commitment to the Johnson Lifestyle with Personal Statement of Faith. - The home country's equivalent to a high school transcript with an international academic credential evaluation.
- Evidence of competency in English in one of the following forms (if a major part of their education was not in English):
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 527 for paper, 197 for computer and 71 for internet.

- Evidence of passing the ordinary Level English Test or its equivalent.
- Assurance of their English language competency from a College-approved score.
- Transcripts from any universities attended with an international academic credential evaluation

AFTER ACCEPTANCE:
- Affidavit of Financial Support Form
- A $1,500 deposit. With the approval of the director of financial aid, a maximum of $125 of this deposit can be used for books or supplies each semester beginning the third semester. Any unused portion will be returned to the one who paid it when the student terminates his/her enrollment and pays his/her account.
- I-20 application
The student is responsible for I-20 shipping fees by paying through eShipGlobal.
International students must also meet the requirements for acceptance for foreign (nonimmigrant) students by the US Immigration and Naturalization Service (USINS). Since this process is much more lengthy than for traditional students, it is recommended that international students begin the application process as early as possible, giving at least six months prior to the beginning of the term.
The Government of the United States requires proof of support before accepting any student from outside the U.S. This proof may come as a written affidavit from friends or organizations from the student’s home country, or from family or friends living in the U.S. who are willing to support the student’s educational endeavors. JUFL is under the authority of the United States Government to have verification of support before it can issue the I-20 form to foreign students. This I-20 form is needed to come into the U.S. and to obtain a foreign student visa.

- An admissions essay. One-half to one page in length containing a personal introduction, purpose for pursuing course(s) from Johnson University, any additional information the applicant desires to share, and a list of courses in which the applicant intends to enroll.

The website and combined report contain information regarding campus security and personal safety, including topics such as crime prevention, fire safety, authority of security personnel, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Johnson University Florida, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
