Affordable tuition has always been foundational to Johnson University and remains a guiding principle for the School. Still engraved on the walls of the flagship Tennessee campus are the words of founder Ashley Johnson: “Open day and night to the poor young man who desires above every other desire, to preach the Gospel of Christ.” Today, Johnson University continues to offer an affordable Christian education to those who desire to impact the world for Christ.
Graduates of Johnson University typically have far less education-related debt upon graduation than the national average, a standard that the University remains committed to upholding. Johnson graduates become missionaries, church leaders, nonprofit directors, and other ministry-minded professionals whose desire is to serve Christ and others. Debt should not be a hindrance to their impact.
Johnson’s low tuition rates are made possible in part through the financial support of donors who embrace the mission of the University and the importance of affordable programs from an accredited university to train Christians for ministry leadership.
