Ministry Leadership - Adult Evening
Adult students have great potential to lead churches and other Christian ministries for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom. The Ministry Leadership major equips such students with sound training in Bible, theology, and the leadership of Christian ministries.
Students will benefit from Johnson’s accreditation, affordable tuition, military-friendly flexibility, and an experienced and engaged faculty passionate about each student’s success.
Adults in the Ministry Leadership program will complete a bachelor’s degree that includes a second major in Bible & Theology. This two-year program (possibly longer for students entering with less than 57 credit hours) features seven-week hybrid courses that include two hours of class time one evening per week at Johnson’s Tennessee campus along with ongoing online participation. Most of the courses are also offered entirely online.
The Bible curriculum provides a strong foundation for the ministry leadership curriculum and is offered entirely online. Students also apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings through professional internships.
When students complete this program, they will be able to do the following:
Model the spiritual maturity of a Christ-like servant-leader necessary for kingdom work.
Prepare churches and other ministries for kingdom mission through the teaching and preaching of the Scriptures with depth and sensitivity to people’s needs.
Lead churches and Christian ministries through pastoral care, ministry development, leadership amid change and conflict, and guidance in various programs of ministry.
