Connecting is easy in Johnson University’s Christ-centered environment. More than a college or a campus, Johnson is a community. Since 1893, the faculty, staff, and students have been committed to developing an atmosphere that values relationship, spiritual growth, tradition, and service. Our beautiful Knoxville campus provides the ideal backdrop for lively fellowship or moments of quiet reflection.
On a typical day, Johnson students can be found in a group study session over coffee in the Underground Starbucks Coffee Shop, having dinner with a friend in the River Grille, or meeting for a small group in the dorms. Weekends could bring an on-campus concert, a production directed and performed by students in the Alumni Memorial Chapel, or a gathering of supporters at an athletic event. Throughout the year, the Student Government Association hosts events involving the entire campus, such as city-wide service day, Battle of the Classes on Founders’ Day, and the annual water slide event that kicks off the school year. Sports lovers can find their niche playing in campus intramural games while musicians are encouraged to participate in a campus choir or chapel worship group.
It’s safe to say there is no shortage of activity happening on the Johnson campus. In the meantime, students often venture out to take in the breathtaking beauty of the Smoky Mountains or experience the culture and hospitality of the Knoxville area.
