Templar School of Education

Johnson University’s Templar School of Education seeks to prepare future teachers to integrate a faith-based, holistic educational philosophy in a variety of school settings. Johnson offers affordable bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as licensure options and Post-Baccalaureate programs, all from an accredited university.

The interdisciplinary nature of the Templar School of Education rests on a biblical foundation. All coursework maintains a biblical core and is designed to provide a firm foundation for vocational ministry. Operating from a Christian worldview, Johnson’s faculty members maintain high standards of academic excellence within a caring environment.

Starting their first year and each semester after, students are given the valuable opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience in schools throughout the greater Knoxville area. Johnson’s modern Teacher Resource Center is unmatched, providing creative tools and references for those who are on the journey to be a school teacher.
