Pastoral Care and Counseling

The Pastoral Care and Counseling Major equips students to provide pastoral care, godly counsel, and effective leadership in pastoral ministry settings.

Students will benefit from Johnson’s accreditation, affordable tuition, military-friendly flexibility, and an experienced and engaged faculty passionate about each student’s success.

Students also apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings through professional internships.

When students complete this program, they will be able to do the following:

  • Model the spiritual maturity of a Christ-like servant-leader necessary for kingdom work.
  • Prepare churches and other ministries for kingdom mission through the teaching and preaching of the Scriptures with depth and sensitivity to people’s needs.
  • Provide biblical guidance in ministry settings that leads others to personal, interpersonal, and family health.
